2006 [فيفا] عالم فنجان

It’s the FIFA World Cup this year, as in world championship football (or soccer for all you Americans whose view of a football is something egg-shaped rather than round). The games begin in June, and why not warm up with Electronic Arts’ fully licensed 2006 FIFA World Cup game for the Xbox 360? Read more
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness

The newest venture of the Castlevania series into the realm of 3-D, Castlevania: Curse of Darkness does all the same things its predecessor, 2003’s Lament of Innocence, showed us that a good 3-D Castlevania could do. Unfortunately, it also makes many of the same mistakes. Read more
Mega Man X Collection

For those of us who cut our teeth on Mega Man NES games, there are few things better than controlling a little blue robot through eight robot-filled levels, each ending with a tough-as-nails boss battle. Of course, one of those things would be controlling a sharper looking blue robot as he flashes through eight darker, more robot-filled levels, each ending with a tough-as-nails boss battle with a robot designed after an animal. Yes, the early Mega Man X games were true apexes of action/platforming and the stuff jaded gamers reminisce about in the same way you think back wistfully on that one, perfect girl you let slip through your fingers many years ago. Carrying that analogy further, the release of the Mega Man X Collection is kind of like if you suddenly ran into that girl again, a little older but otherwise just as perfect as. Oh, and most importantly, she’s still totally into you. Read more
Hearts of Iron II: Doomsday
June 21, 2006 by PTD Contributor · Leave a Comment
We’ve heard of an iron lung, but an iron heart, well, that’s a new one. However, it’s definitely an apt name for this grand and sprawling strategic war game, which takes the theatre of World War II and gives the player total control of one nation, complete with the freedom to change history. There’s a massive depth of gameplay here, which the faint of heart will definitely shrink from; in fact, you’ll need an entire set of steely internal organs to master this particular game. Read more
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat

Even those who fail to keep up-to-date with that ever changing world of PC gaming know of the Battlefield series. Looked upon as one of the first action-based online titles to truly take the world by storm, it’s a series played every day by thousands of online loving gamers. With new consoles much more adept at online play, particularly Microsoft’s Xbox Live, it was no surprise to see console iterations come to fruition. After the lukewarm reception of last year’s PS2 and Xbox versions, EA hoped the processing might of the hulking Xbox 360 would allow them to deliver online, console-based Battlefield jollies. Unfortunately for us however, this just happens to be quite a long way from it’s PC brethren. Read more
SiN Episodes: Emergence

Many of you, like me, may remember as a young gamer foiling the evil plans of Elexis Sinclaire in the original SiN. Well, guess what, she didn’t get convicted (good story huh?). Four years later, you, John Blade, wake up to Elexis and a notorious drug lord standing over your body… crap. Fortunately, a rookie hardCORPS officer comes in and rescues you before you find out what they injected you with. Of course, with mutant sightings in Freeport city on the rise, it can’t be good. Begin SiN Episodes: Emergence… Read more
Condemned

We all knew that it would occur, but not quite this quickly. Condemned snuck almost stealth-like into the first Xbox 360 titles, and ultimately turned out to be the most aesthetically pleasing of the launch. The sublime lighting, awe-inspiring detailed textures, and sense of physicality were unrivalled in video game history and helped culminate a cult-classic. As a first-person title, we were all too well aware that it was bound to arrive on the PC. Read more

Odama made a lot of E3 visitors think that Nintendo was out of their minds when they showed the game for the first time. A strategy pinball game, really? Read more
