Final Fantasy III

It seems every time I turn around there is a new Final Fantasy title on the shelves. This isn’t a problem mind you, I’m just remarking. It is however a bit intimidating. I hardly finish playing and reviewing the newest Final Fantasy and without a moment to spare for a catnap or a quiet walk through the woods, I find myself standing in line for the newest copy. I thoroughly admit that ye olde Rainbow Six games on the PC completely passed me by. While everyone else was enthralled by their tactical, team-based nature, I was still blasting folks away on Doom and Quake. Lately with the series’ newest iteration hitting the 360, my interest levels were certainly piqued. Read more

Phantasy Star Universe

Being one of the first to actually play Phantasy Star Online, er, online, in the western world not only gave me a head start at the Dreamcast (and later every other format) classic, it also got me hooked. The first online role-playing game for a console was perhaps a bit repetitive, but still a magnificent experience. And, not to mention, something entirely new. Read more

Monster 4×4

Horrendously bad launch titles are unfortunately a mainstay in the gaming industry. As much as we hate to say it, despite its innovative control method and small dinky design, the Wii is no different. Read more
