One of the first toys I became obsessed with as a child were LEGOs. I used to have a metric ton of them. I had the first generation Space LEGOs, the Medieval Castle LEGOs, and the Technics LEGOs. I used to save every penny of my allowance so I could get the next set. I finally, unwillingly, gave my Lego collection to my nieces and nephews. Even today, I find myself checking out the new sets.

While I don't totally disagree with your rev, I would have to say the indie version of legos disappointed me. First off I totally agree about the AI of the NPC if playing a 1 player game. If you choose to actually play in co-op however this greatly improves or at least I would hope that it will. The star wars lego games also suffered from this affliction. What disappointed me most was the repeatious fist fighting. That is pretty much all you do. You occasionally get to us your whip but for me it was way too little. In the star wars versions you got to use your force powers and it seemed like the characters had a better array of abilites. Not a bad game but it didn't really stand out. Hopefully Lego Batman with all the suits for Batman and Robin will do more. Thats my take

Hi Trioxin,

Thanks for your candid feedback.  You have to remember that Indy didn't have the benefit of Force powers, so you have to change your way of approaching the game.  It's probably unfortunately that the Lego Star Wars games spoiled it for all the others.  You don't get the benefit of having a Light Saber to deflect blaster shots or using the Force to manipulate objects, so you're forced to change your tactics a bit. You just have to remember that these games are trying to keep in the spirit of the series they're representing; Indy is more of a brawler, while Star War have nifty light sabers and blasters.  I'm sure with Batman the focus will be more hand to hand combat and a wide array of gadgets to solve the puzzles.

And unfortunately I didn't have the benefit of having another person that should play with me in co-op mode, which I'm sure would have improved some of the game play.

Warm Regards,

PK
