Otherland MMOG Announced!

Good news for Tad William (the author) fans! Otherland is being turned into a MMOG due to hit PC’s in 2010. dtp entertainment and developer RealU are teaming up to create a game based on the novels, but not one that retells the story. Apparently Tad Williams will also have a say in the creation of the game which will feature the original characters from the Novels as the player creates their own story within the world.

Otherland, at first appearance, seems to be a very ambitious project, using the Unreal Engine 3 and a non-linear storyline to engage the player. Like the novels, the main focus of the game will be Virtual Reality, transporting the player from world to world where everything is not as it first seems. The game-world is also said to be dynamic, responding and changing to the actions of the player as the game unfolds.

Not much else has been released about this upcomign title, but it is definitely something to keep an eye out for in the future!
