PTD 5.0 Inbound

We’re going to be upgrading our website over the weekend, in response to a few problems we’ve had with the current setup. You can see the new thing in our development environment right now, if you’re so inclined.
We’ll be blasting the existing databases and installing WordPress from scratch over the weekend, so don’t be alarmed if think are wonky for a couple of days. We should have everything up and running within 48-hours.
very nice, that background thingy on the left is distracting to me… but, other than that, very very good!
Ironically, I think “that background thingy on the left” makes it complete and way fully awesome. LOL
So here it is — we’ve got a few hours of work still to do, but no major pitfalls yet. Anyone notice any weirdness yet?
OK, I wasn’t able to easily (read: sanely) salvage the forum posts, so we’ll have to re-populate them with our coolness. Shouldn’t be too big of a deal — since we’re full of the awesomeness anyway. The new version of the forums we’ve installed should be more likely to play nice in the future, so hopefully we won’t lose any data going forward.
Elsewise, I think everything is about finished. I’ve got a ticket in with the translation software guys (it’s wonky) to fix some of that, but everything else is looking pretty good. I will be testing various browsers for the next couple of days. Yell if you see anything strange.
