Wall-E (The Video Game)
September 29, 2008 by Lorien Faulkner
After seeing the phenomenal title that is Wall-E, my wife was excited to try her hand at the video game license that shares the name. After it arrived, we slapped the disc into the PS3 and immediately noticed something had gone horribly wrong.
It started with the audio in the opening sequence. A scraping, static-like sound emanated through the speakers. In retrospect, the developer was trying to capture the Hello Dolly sequence from the movie, but they instead left us wondering if our TV was somehow damaged.
The title is all downhill from there. The straight-forward platformer had a camera that was difficult to control, poorly defined objectives and a difficulty that would send any hardcore platformer fan screaming into the abyss.
Go see the movie, skip the game.
