Lots of video games tell stories about how our world is under attack and will eventually see destruction unless the player fails to take action. While I used to dismiss these stories as a dime a dozen, I am becoming concerned that they may end up being reality if the current political climate is any indication. World of Warcraft = Terrorism?

When I sit down to play World of Warcraft with my friends, the last thought that comes to my head is the possibility of a terrorist attack.

Pew Survey: 97% of U.S. Teens Love Video Games
According to a national survey conducted by Pew Internet & American Life, 97 percent of teens in the United States play video games on a regular basis, further proof that gaming is an acceptable social activity in society.
Perhaps this statistic is what I need to finally convince my parents that playing video games do not amount to spending time in an “intellectual wasteland.” Read more

Interactive Ontario has just announced that David Edery, who is the “Worldwide Games Portfolio Planner” for Xbox Live Arcade, a research affiliate for the MIT Comparative Media Studies program and author of the book “Changing the Game: How Video Games are Transforming the Business World,” will handle the keynote address at GameON: Finance, which is occurring on October 28 and 29 in Toronto.
